A Janeric Wedding

This weekend I headed up to IL for my friend Jane's wedding. She and Eric had a beautiful wedding. It was great to get to see everyone I hadn't seen in forever (Shoutouts to Nikki, Nathan, Karen, John, the Murbargers, the Flessner Girls, and the Rohms). It was also really cool to get to see all the people I have heard all about or read about on Janeo Fabulous and In The Nik of Time.

I was talking with Sydney, our young friend about the next night. I asked if she had her dancing shoes, and she got this shocked look on her face. Little did I know, she had specific shoes for dancing, as she is at the age where she takes classes. Ooops. eventually we told her that she could dance in her party shoes. And let me tell you, she made sure we danced at the reception!!!

While In C-U I had the oppertunity to hit a few landmarks - Lunch at Murph's. They are celebrating their 40th anniversary. It was followed by a quick desert at Jarlings. Mmmmm Custard Cup. I tried the German chocolate. Tasty, however I think the Bannana Split is still my favorite Snowstorm.

Also -- who doesn't remember the porn dumpster and the asbetoes hospital. Well, i knew the porn dumpster was gone since the random parking lot/helipad was converted to a City of Champaign lot. Now the asbestoes hospital with the creepy blue light in a random room is gone - and in its place is an apartment building and a grocery store. How convenient it would have been if there had been a grocery store across the street from the apartment.

Plus, I got to use the new Curtis Road Exit on I 57. How fun! C-U is big time now with all these interstate on ramps.
