Team Sah Hills

On Saturday we joined our friend Amy B and became Team Sah Hills for the Pittsburgh Edition of the Challenge Nation scavenger hunt.  This is an urban scavenger hunt that has your running all over your town capturing photos of your group doing different things at different places based on a bunch of hints.  We didn't do half  bad - we placed well into the top half.    Here is our photodocumentary!

- Find a fan of a non-NFL sports team that isn't in your city and get your picture taken with them acting out a scene from that sport.  We saw this San Fran Giants fan as we were still working out the clues less than 10 minutes into the race! We grabbed him and went with it :)

- Find someone from a state that starts with B, M, N, or O and get your picture taken with them.  Take a pic of them with their license and point in the direction of their state.  The Ohio State Shirt gave it away...  This was on our way to the first real clue -- way to get it done quickly team!  We were surprised the group walking 10 ft ahead of us didn't grab him first.

- Pittsburgh is a city of bridges and actually has more than Venice.  Find the one bridge that has a common name and snap your picture under it giving a team high five.  We found the Bridge of Sorrows (thanks wikipedia) at the Courthouse and snapped our shot from up the street so we could actually see the bridge

- Find the parklet that was not a bank error in 2001 and get your picture taken as close to the 5 columned fountain as you dare (Mellon Park near my T station... we weren't going in, but we got close)

 - Art that involves water and rest - ignore the water and snap a photo with the eye catching art devoted to rest!  Check out these funky benches at Theater Square.

 - We sang the Sixpennce none the richer song... and then acted out a famous movie scene outside SixPenn.  David serenaded us ladies with "you've lost that lovin feeling", channeling his inner Maverick.

 - Pittsburgh has lots of old buildings and a few new ones.  We had to get a picture of a building built before 1890 or one that was finished and inhabited in 2011.  We went with the brand spanking new Hyatt across the street from PNC park.

 - At PNC we mimicked Mazeroski's famous pose from 1960 as his home run won the world series.

 - A human pyramid at the original sight of Fort Duquesne - the clue referred to rhyming with Tim Robbins most favorite character (I swear I still think Bull Durham is more famous name recognition than Andy Dufresne)

- A stop at KDKA's original location to let everyone know what place the pirates were in their division in 1971 :)  the end was in sight.
- A photoshoot with a famous herbivore, ketchuposauras at PPG place.  I love these dinos!
