St. Margaret of Scotland

This year we decided to do a little Fish Fry Fun-- trying different a different church's fish fry every week.  How fun does that sound?  First up, St. Margaret of Scotland in Greentree.

The menu was pretty good, with a good number of options other than the standard fried cod.

We were pretty impressed with the food.  Lots of options.. and those that we ordered were pretty good.  The green beans looked awesome, if I had known that was the veggie I would have gotten some.  The crab cakes were hand made by some little old lady in the parish rather than the Giant Eagle frozen special -- not to much filler in them. And as is usual nowadays, the fish was giant.

They score Major points for cute kids pushing a baked goods cart around and convincing us to partake of the goodies.  Especially since baked goods hit half off about the time we got there!

The biggest win (loss) for the night was running into one of David's coworkers and discovering that it is BYOB. Too bad we didn't know ahead of time....  But now we know for next time!

The downside was no pierogies :(

Average Rating:  7.25

Stay tuned for next week....

Hi, Sarah -- so this comment has nothing to do with your post and everything to do with your geocaching map -- you need to fill in Indiana ;)
Love, Abby

We DO need to fill in Indiana... and I need to update it since West Virginia is now covered :)

For sure, you should be able to count on us in October for a little game of football, if we are allowed in your home :) Once we make it through April 21 I'm going to look at our summer schedule to see what is when and plan forward from there.

PS we would have to pick up Michigan while we were there too :)
