I watched 27 dresses last weekend. There is this scene in there where Katie H and James Marsden are drinking in a bar and start singing Benny and the Jets. This is probably one of my favorite scenes in the whole movie. They start singing their 'lyrics' ...
It reminded me of when Almost Famous came out. How many of us thought the lyrics were "Hold me closer Tony Danza"? I know at least a few of us, including jay leno. Anybody got some other crazy lyrics to share?

The song "Spiderwebs" by No Doubt
My friend Kelly Wilson thought the lyric was "I screamed my bones off" instead of "I screened my phone calls" and she was brave enough to misquote the song on a first date. Her date was enough of an asshole to correct her, and there never was a second date. But I still giggle when I hear that song.
My roommate, Jeanne, did an entire radio show with this premise. My personal favorite was "Bakin' Carrot Biscuits" instead of "Takin' Care of Business".
I always think of the Macy Gray song "I Try" that Karen thought she was saying "I blow bubbles when you are not near"....it is actually "My world crumbles when you are not near. Oh and a cute one from a kid....the Danity Kane song "Damaged" in which they keep saying "My heart is damaged" over and over...an old coworkers son asked his mom why they kept singing about wanting a sandwich. P.S. I love 27 Dresses (and James Marsden) and I love that scene too.
