So a loyal reader told me she was sad - it had been a while since I blogged. (Yay for loyal readers!!) In lieu of another 'fill the blog with dogs because nothing is going on I give you this:
Things have been going on -- I kept forgetting my memory card, and what fun is blogging without the pictures? So I present you randomness.
1. Miss Miss -- we watched the miss miss parade Monday night. Kristen is really smart -- so she bought us our own princess crowns. No less than 5 paradees yelled at us that the loved our crowns. I love feeling special and watching parades from on the balcony.
2. The weather is AMAZING. I actually slept wiht the windows open last night. When I went to bed the computer told me it was 66 degrees last night. Alas, it will be up to highs in the 90's again by midweek.
3. I am a book nerd. I just finished reading City of Thieves for this months bookclub. Recently, I haven't been doing blog book reviews but putting them on goodreads instead. However, I wll say that I really enjoyed this book. It was semi-biographical historcial fiction. In one sentence would describe it of comming of age story of jewish boy in WWII seige of Leningrad/St.Petersburg. Two thumbs up.
4. I am in love with my new DVR. It is great. The other night I was watching a movie and rather tired. I decided that I really wanted to see where the movie went though so I would start recording it and watch it later on. It didn't start recording 20 minutes in. It went back and recorded the movie from the beginning. How cool was that?
5. Yesterday we adventured to the Bonnie and Clyde trade days in Arcadia, LA. It is a crazy flea market/crafts place where people come monthly to sell their crap. Good fair food was consumed. It is always good when you can get an ice cream cone from a woman selling them from a blow up ice cream cone. Seeing the crap their made me think of childhood trips to the lake county fairgrounds antique show with my dad. I saw many a both selling the collectors glasses from fast food places with cartoon characters on them. I fondly recall the days when Kate collected them. She almost got one for her birthday! After Bonnie and Clyde, Angela took me on a tour of her Alma Matter, Louisiana Tech, located in Ruston. College tours are so fun, and bring back so many memories to the tourguides. It was a good trip -- We both found some awesome yard art, aka yard trash -- I got a metal owl to sit in my garden while Ange found a blue bull, complete with blue balls, for hers.
6. i like lists.

welcome to the world of DVR. there's no going back. we often wait 15 minutes after something's started to watch it so that we don't have to watch any commercials.
I love it!!!!! I will definitely be doing that once Lost re-starts!
