Buffalo

We went up to buffalo for football last weekend to watch Pitt vs UB. That's U at B, because the town has no interest in owning that university.... It was raining like crazy, but if their fans can handle two story icicles, a downpour won't stop them from tailgating.

It was crazy being there- the stadium felt like high school. There probably are larger stadiums at high schools in Texas :). They even had a set of bleacher that had never been day in and covered with adds - they were supposedly installed so the team could qualify for division IA. Not exactly a proud win, buy a win no less despite rain and 45mph winds :)

Pitt-UConn Game

We braved Hartford Connecticut and checked out the Pitt-UConn game.  Their stadium is in the middle of an abandoned airfield, which the nerd in me found quite cool.  If you look at an aerial there is no question at all whatsoever that is where you are at.  The runway is the 'traffic lane' for driving in and you park in the outfield.  odd.  yet cool.

In an ode to my Palko peeps, I masqueraded as Tyler Palko for this game.

I'm a winner!!!

I had a great super bowl - Alissa and JR invited me to an awesome party! It was some fun times. By the way, her daddy knows how to cook! I'm happy to help him deal with his leftovers anytime.
I played the squares for the first time! I put down $2.30 - and courtesy of the Steelers last second play I won $6.25!!!! How could I not root for them????

Saturday is as Saturday does

We had an all around Saturday sort of day. This morning the ladies of the house all gathered on the couch to watch the U of I -OSU football game. Unfortunately it didn't turn out as I would have liked. Fortunatley, we held our own except for all of those turnovers. If only they could learn to play well I would see lots of wins in our future - because they have the raw talent, that is for sure.

After the disappointment of the loss the other ladies were devastated. I tucked them in to sleep away their misery. Meanwhile I headed back to the dreaded office for another coat of paint. I think it is the last. Later on I hung new blinds in there. It is actually looking halfway decent. I'll post pictures once I get the furnitue in there. For now I leave you with my sleepy furry children. After they have been tucked into bed they are likely to stay asleep like that for a surprising amount of time.
