Poor Madison

Not sure if Madison is sulking after a week with David because she is sad to come home because likes him more than me, or if she is sad because she has been beaten into emotional submission after a week with him.  You be the judge.

STL Round One

I'm in STL this week for work.  We're staying across the street from the arch :)  And I can see Busch Stadium from my hotel window.  Too bad the Cards aren't in town.  Somehow despite all my trips to STL and being friends with two of the biggest Cards fans ever, I've still never been to a game.  The trip was finished up with a bottle of the local brew.  One day I'll get to the Schafly's bottleworks too.  I hear its worthy of a visit.

DC Weekend

I'm a little late getting these pics up.  Last month we headed down to DC to see Kate.  It was disgustingly grossly nasty hot.  But it was a fun trip otherwise.  It was great to be able to take a short drive and get to spend a weekend with Kate. Here are a few pics from the weekend.

We went out to the tidal basin the first evening and saw the Jefferson Monumnet.

Saturday I finally got out to the National Air and Space Museum at Dulles Airport. 

David was trying to be all Top Gun here.

What a great idea -- take a couple of engineers to Air&Space..  Beautiful Disaster.

Kate survived the day with the engineers and was still able to smile.

We stopped by Regan as well and did some 'Plane-Spotting". 

It is pretty awesome to watch the planes landing right above you!

Sunday we ate brunch at a french bakery and checked out the Eastern Market. 

An Afternoon at Phipps Conservatory

Last weekend we headed to the Phipps Conservatory.  We saw some flowers, some gargoyles, etc.  The geocaching wasn't so successful. 

 

It was pretty gross and hot, so we found a fan.

We did pick up a couple of caches later in the afternoon and I found another one of the dinosaurs!

MMMM Breakfast

It's been busy times lately and I have lots of catching up to do with posts.  Last weekend we went to Pamela's for breakfast to celebrate my temproary return after two long weeks of TDY.  .  Apparently it's a happening place -- The Obama's like to catch breakfast at the location in the Strip District when they come to town.

I had to scold David because he wouldn't stop taking my picture.  Oddly, thats the same gesture that gets Daisy running for the crate.

And this was his response.  Obviously he is a work in progress :)
