Naked Dog

Daisy went in for her summer 'do.  She was well past due....

Before - Dirty shaggy doggie!

Walking to the groomers

Stopping for a sniff at the same stop on the way home!

Home sweet home and naked!

Getting a kiss from Madison -- who missed her sister badly.  What a crackhead.

Such a pitiful pupster couldn't handle being home alone with mamacita

Everyone is happy now :)
It has been quite the exciting day.

*isn't it awesome that we were able to just walk to the groomers?  i love dormont!

The Lake

I headed out to East Branch Lake for work this week.  It makes for a long day since it is a 3 hour trip each way.  However, on a pretty spring day, it is totally worth it!

The Lake really is pretty!

Walking up the dam is not exactly a walk in the park.
You might call it a hike.  The other abutment is even steeper!

Here are a few pictures from when I went up three weeks ago --- spring really sprang up there in that time!

Surprise Party!

The 'excuse' for visiting my family in Philly was my C-I-L's surprise 40th birthday party.  Somehow he was absolutely clueless!!!

Cheesesteak et al.

Last weekend we headed to the Jersey side of Philly to see my Jersey family who aren't named Jersey :)  We took advantage of the beautiful springy-summer weather and went into Philly for the day on Saturday.

Would you believe that until last Saturday I had never actually had a cheese steak in Philly?  We headed down to the south side and chose to give Geno our business.  Next time we venture that way, I want to try Pat's so I can make an accurate comparison.

From Cheese Steak Corner we headed out to pick up a few geocaches in the neighborhood, which brought us to the Italian Market.  I had no idea that this awesome neighborhood existed!   There was lots of amazing looking food and the atmosphere was really cool.  It reminded me of some of my favorite parts of the Strip District here in PGH.

From there we headed over towards the river to make a stop at Yard's Brewing.  We had seen Yards on the Philly episode of "Drinking Made Easy" so we wanted to stop by.  They make a handful of beers, including several that are based on recipes brewed by the founding fathers -- including Thomas Jefferson's Spruce Ale.  We got a taster of that one -- gross.  No need for a full pint.  We did enjoy a pint of the Love Stout and took the tour of the brewery.

C&B wedding fun

A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of celebrating our friends Chris and Bridgette's wedding.  a fun time was had by all, and my date might have been the life of the party!

the spiffy looking wedding party

the yellow table was definitely the best table!

i wonder why we had such a fun time?

i told you my date was that obnoxious guy!

laura and i had a great time!

pittsburgh half marathon

this weekend david ran the half marathon.  i chose to be a supporter rather than a runner... i made some rocking signs - all the runners seemed to like them.  i caught them twice in the strip district and then met up with his parents at the finish line to watch david cross the line.  i'm super proud of him -- and he now says he is done with that kind of crazy running :)

around mile 3.5 things weren't looking to bad, despite the rain.

mile 13.1 was a different story...
